How is Hospice Care Paid For?
Hospice of Helping Hands provides care to those who qualify for hospice care based on NEED for services – not the ability to pay. Primary financial support for our hospice care is from Medicare, Medicaid and other private insurances. Hospice care is a 100% covered benefit under Medicare; as well as many other insurances.
If an eligible patient has no insurance, hospice care will still be provided to that patient free-of-charge. We are able to provide service in these situations due to the financial support of the community, individual donors, gifts, memorials, grants and funds raised by our volunteer guild.
